Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received upsetting news from the UK about their replacement as tensions with the royal family intensified.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their senior royal roles in 2020. The couple, who resides in Montecito with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are not on speaking terms with King Charles and Prince William due to their controversial moves against the firm.
As Harry and Meghan are no longer working royals, the royals need trustworthy members of the family to support the King amid the slimmed-down monarch approach.
Duchess Sophie and Prince Edward are the one couple who are grabbing attention as they also recently dubbed 'real assets' of the royal family.
As per The Sun, royal experts believe that the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh might soon crash Harry and Meghan's last hope of a royal return as they keep getting support from King Charles and Prince William.
The royal commentators sat down to discuss the possibility that the Edinburghs could "replace" the Sussexes in the near future.
Speaking of it, Chris Ship said, "I don't think to replace like for like. I think they could be an additional resource for Buckingham Palace."
He added, "Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh now, recently celebrated his 60th birthday, so they're not spring chickens either."
"But I take your point that they are that sort of generation in between William and Kate and the King and Queen," Chris shared.
In response, another royal editor Matt Wilkinson highlighted that the royal family has currently the King, the Queen and the Waleses.
Prince Andrew's family, the Yorks are "excommunicated, the Sussexes have disappeared," he said. Matt claimed that the monarchy needed Sophie and Edward.
