Islamabad: Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, a member of the Central Core Committee of UBG, has welcomed the proposed development projects for Islamabad in the Federal Budget 2025-26. He expressed gratitude to the federal government and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb for including projects that will make the capital an exemplary city of the Islamic world in healthcare, education, security, and tourism.

The projects include a modern cardiology block, the establishment of Danish University, and a cancer hospital in Islamabad, which will provide quality healthcare and educational facilities to residents and people from surrounding areas. The budget allocates Rs3 billion for stroke treatment and ICU upgrades at PIMS Hospital, Rs800 million for emergency block expansion, and Rs1.5 billion for Federal Polyclinic, including a modern cardiology unit.

Bakhtawari praised the allocation of Rs2.05 billion for equipment for the cancer hospital and Rs400 million for the construction of 10th Avenue. He also welcomed the Rs750 million allocated for municipal schemes, which will be used for street repair, clean water supply, sewerage, and park rehabilitation.

The development projects also include initiatives to enhance security and law enforcement institutions, such as the National Police Hospital and biometric upgrades. Bakhtawari emphasized that these projects reflect the vision of making Islamabad a model city for the Islamic world in terms of health, education, and tourism. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, Finance Minister, and the Planning Commission for their commitment to addressing the issues faced by Islamabad’s citizens.
